Pastors

With 75% of marriages in S.W. Indiana taking place within Communities of Faith, CMB is committed to helping pastors and churches become well-equipped to administer marriage preparation and enrichment programs within their parish or congregation.

Have you signed the Community Marriage Covenant?  If not, this is a great way to get started in making marriage preparation a priority in your church.  Call today to find out how your church can join the 196 other churches in our community who are committed to building strong marriages.

Our County Coordinators will be happy to consult with you on the many ways CMB can offer assistance to you and the members of your church.  CMB offers:

  • Trainings on FOCCUS Pre-marital inventory
  • Marriage preparation and enrichment classes (crisis marriage classes upon request.)
  • Speakers for your congregation or other groups within your church
  • Assistance with planning special services or events to celebrate Community Marriage Week in February.
  • Assistance with establishing couple-to-couple mentoring programs

PASTOR POINTS TO PONDER

1. Does your church have a written wedding policy?

2. How does your church determine if a second marriage can occur?

3. Does your marriage preparation program include mentor or sponsor couples?

4. How are you encouraging singles to remain abstinent?

CMB can assist your church with these and other marriage related issues. Give us a call at 477-2260 or email us at office@makeitlast.org to find out more.
